The Southern Star Softball Showcase offers 2 different types of showcase events.

1) "All-Star" events where individual players of high
school age or older sign up and are placed on teams to play games.
 
2) "Team" events where actual 18u GOLD, 18u A, 16u A and 14u A travel teams sign up and play. 

All events are designed to provide all participants with maximum exposure to college coaches.

*Any team playing in Colorado that next week that
needs to leave on Sunday can request to play on Fri/Sat only.*

Play will begin after 3 PM on Saturday and run through mid-afternoon
on Sunday. Those with high school athletics conflicts can request to be on
a "Sunday Only" team.

This is an individual player event and not for travel teams.

Paulson, Scarboro, Minnick Complex's and the stadium at Savannah State University will be used
Thirteen field's total within 1 mile of each other!

5 game Showcase for the Fall.
Must be registered 18u Gold, 18u A, 16u A or 14u A in 2012

All teams need to be prepared to play on Friday starting at 1:00 PM through Sunday at 5:00 PM.
If you can not due to travel restraints, YOU MUST notate it on the application. 
This will be taken into consideration when accepting teams.

Deadline to enter is September 15, 2012 - 90 TEAM MAX

Games will be played after 3 PM on Saturday and from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM on Sunday.
Special arrangements are available for players who have conflicts playing 
high school basketball or other winter sports on that Saturday night.

Open entry ends on December 15, 2010. Entry fee is $150.00 per player.

However we would like to let everyone know that there is an outstanding softball clinic being hosted by Coach Annie Smith 
and her Staff on that Saturday morning prior to the start of our event.

They will be attending the Southern Star events and are willing to shoot videos and provide evaluations right on site.

Southern Star Softball is a supporter and branch of the Angels Girls Fastpitch Softball Organizaion of Southeast Georgia, a non-profit athletic organization.   A portion of the proceeds from each event goes to help promote girls fastpitch softball in the
Coastal Empire of Southeast Georgia through the Angels Organization.  Thanks for your support.

Team Events

The Southern Star Team event is designed to allow travel teams the opportunity to showcase their players talents in a 5 game round robin format in front of the watchful eye of college coaches from all over the Southeast.

All-Star Events

The Southern Star all-star softball events are designed to allow high school age girls softball players to showcase their individual talents on the field of play.  Teams will be drawn from all qualified applicants to play in a 4 game round robin format event under the watchful eye of invited college softball coaches.  This event is for girls softball players who are striving to gain exposure to college coach's in hopes of playing at the next level. This is not a camp nor a training event, this is an exposure event. No instruction will be given.
